Discover how animal adaptations help them in nature- then see what life would be like if YOU had these adaptations! Dress for a mess (water, dirt). Grades K-5

Learn everything you need to know on how to build, maintain, and store a sourdough starter. After the event, attendees even get to leave with some of Brandon’s own sourdough starter to start baking! Registration required.

Wednesday, August 7th 1PM-5PM 

Curious as to what goes on at the library when we close for the night? Your stuffie can find out! Stuffies only (no kiddos) are invited to spend the night in the library! When you pick up your stuffie the next morning, you can watch a slideshow of all the fun things they did at their sleepover!**Registration is required and spots are limited!** Ages 2-7. One stuffie per child. **Please bring a stuffie your kiddo will be able to spend the night without!**

This program requires two visits to the library:

• –Drop Off your stuffie @ the Children’s Room Info Desk between 1-5 pm on Wednesday 8/7
• –Pick Up your stuffie in the Community Meeting Room between 10:30am-12:30pm on Thursday 8/8

It’s time to get creative! We’ll make a new and fun craft each week for you to make and take home. Today we will be making Mini Frame Magnets. This program is for students entering grades 6-12. Registration is appreciated!

Come discuss the cookbook “Misunderstood Vegetables“ by Becky Selengut! “Go from “what the heck is this” to “how does it taste so good” in this celebration of misfit vegetables. Everyone is encouraged to bring a dish from the book to share and we will eat as we discuss this month’s book.  Stop by reference to pick up a copy. Storytime for toddlers will include songs, stories, puppets, manipulatives and more to help lay the foundation for early literacy. Time for play/socialization will be available after the program. Siblings are welcome. Weekly sign-up necessary! This program is for children 18-36 months.

On Fridays it’s time to play some games. We’ll be switching things up each week to play a variety of competitive games. This week we’ll be playing some Card Games. This program is for students entering grades 6-12. Registration required!
